He studied Ethics at university which lead on to roles in both private and NHS healthcare management serving on multinational ethics committees. He has also had political appointments including speech writing and policy development and has spent some time professionally assisting law enforcement. Joanne served as both a listener and subsequently Deputy Director for the Samaritans and developed the community Impact strategy for Bristol Branch. Joanne has specialist expertise in the fields of child and adult safeguarding and is also a qualified mental health lead. She brings lived experience of being a disabled performer to the committee.

I now work as a photographer and content creator, capturing genuine moments and helping people express themselves confidently. Alongside that, I specialise in digital marketing, supporting brands and individuals in building their presence and reaching the right audience online. Beyond my professional work, I’m deeply involved in the ENM scene across the UK, hosting and organising events that create safe, inclusive, and engaging spaces for like-minded people to connect.
