Good afternoon, SNAP community!
We had our first daytime social in London last week, and I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended. From start to finish, the energy and engagement were fantastic, making it a highly productive and meaningful meeting. Here’s a recap of the highlights:
Committee Updates:
We started with updates from each committee member, showcasing their efforts this year to enhance SNAP’s resources and support for our members:
These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting SNAP members and strengthening industry standards.
VerifyMy Presentation:
The VerifyMy team focused on the impact of the forthcoming Online Harms Bill, discussing its implications for our industry. They emphasized how compliance will be essential moving forward and offered a special discount for SNAP members, showing their support for our community in adapting to these changes.
56 Dean Street Presentation:
Mim and Sophie from 56 Dean Street provided valuable insights on current sexual health practices. They addressed their stance on Mycoplasma genitalium (Mgen) and explained why they believe two-week testing is unnecessary. Instead, they recommend monthly testing to allow for incubation periods, ensuring more accurate results. Their expertise highlighted the importance of safe, effective health practices for our industry, making 56 Dean Street an invaluable partner for SNAP members.
Q&A with Andy Lee:
The day wrapped up with an engaging Q&A session with the inimitable Andy Lee, hosted by myself, Adreena Winters. Andy shared insights on navigating the adult industry, answered questions about his career, and discussed upcoming projects. It was a rare opportunity for members to connect directly with someone who’s shaped the industry.
Networking and Wrap-Up:
After the formal agenda, attendees enjoyed a relaxed networking session—a chance to connect, exchange ideas, and discuss collaborations. We’re thrilled that so many of you stayed for this portion, making the most of the time to build connections and strengthen our community.
Our next in-person meeting is scheduled for March 2025, and we’re excited to keep this momentum going. Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you again to everyone who made last week’s meeting such a success!
Warm regards,
Adreena Winters
