MARCH UPDATE

The SNAP Committee met in March to review awards progress, committee development, safeguarding, industry engagement, and upcoming member initiatives.

AWARDS 2026

Planning for the SNAP Awards continues to progress well, with key dates now confirmed.

Pre-nominations will open on 27 March, with full category definitions and criteria published at launch. Voting will open later in the spring, with the awards ceremony taking place on 8 July at The Steel Yard.

The committee also discussed continued improvements around accessibility, transparency, and communication to ensure the awards remain fair, inclusive, and representative of the industry.

Further announcements will be shared as nominations open.

COMMITTEE & STRUCTURE

Following recent recruitment, several new committee members have now joined SNAP in voluntary roles to strengthen the organisation across key areas including social media, safeguarding, policy, and community inclusion.

The committee is continuing to formalise internal roles and responsibilities to improve efficiency, communication, and long-term sustainability of the organisation.

Work is also underway to publish committee member profiles and responsibilities on the SNAP website so members have a clearer understanding of who to contact for different areas.

SAFEGUARDING

The committee agreed to formally introduce safeguarding as an ongoing focus within SNAP.

This will include:

  • A named safeguarding lead

  • A safeguarding statement on the SNAP website

  • Safeguarding as a standing agenda item for committee meetings

  • Clear processes for handling concerns related to SNAP events or activities

The intention is to ensure SNAP events and spaces remain professional, safe, and supportive for members across all sectors of the industry.

MEMBERS MEETING – MAY

The committee is planning a members-only online meeting in May.

This session will give members the opportunity to:

  • Meet the committee

  • Hear updates on SNAP projects and direction

  • Ask questions and give feedback

  • Hear from industry partners and guest speakers

Further details and a date will be announced soon.

INDUSTRY GUIDANCE PROJECT

The committee has begun work on a Beginner’s Guide to the Adult Industry, aimed at individuals who are new to the industry and looking for clear, responsible information about getting started safely and professionally.

This resource will focus on:

  • Safety and boundaries

  • Professional expectations

  • Industry realities

  • Where to find support and information

This is intended to become a long-term resource hosted on the SNAP website.

INDUSTRY & MEDIA ENGAGEMENT

SNAP continues to monitor regulatory, banking, and platform developments affecting adult industry professionals and is working on improving how the organisation communicates with media and external organisations when industry issues arise.

The goal is to ensure SNAP provides a clear, consistent, and informed voice representing UK adult industry professionals.

LOOKING AHEAD

The committee’s focus for the coming months includes:

  • SNAP Awards

  • Member engagement

  • Industry guidance resources

  • Safeguarding framework

  • Increased content and communication

  • External partnerships and industry representation

SNAP continues to grow and develop, and we appreciate the ongoing support from members across the industry.
