SNAp - The History and Heritage

Founded in 2003, the Support Network for Adult Professionals (SNAP) has played a crucial role in supporting the UK’s Adult Industry. Originally launched with a different name, the organization underwent a rebranding in 2019 to more accurately reflect its scope and objectives. By 2021, it adopted the name SNAP to signify its commitment to inclusivity and support across the industry. This name change marked a significant shift in its mission, emphasizing a broader support network and enhancing its role within the professional community.

SNAP is a voluntary, non-profit community interest company dedicated to uniting Adult Professionals across the UK, providing quality support, education, signposting and advice.

Our membership encompasses a diverse range of industry roles, including performers, content creators, producers, webmasters, and other professionals, all committed to fostering a safe and successful environment.

Transitioning from a producer-centric focus, SNAP has become more inclusive, emphasising education and support for the entire spectrum of professionals in the adult industry. We aim to build a diverse and vibrant membership that enhances the collective success of our industry.

SNAP membership offers access to a knowledgeable community with decades of combined experience. We provide expert guidance on safety developments, mental health, sexual health, copyright issues, data protection, and other critical topics. Additionally, we offer valuable resources and signposting to help our members navigate industry challenges and maintain compliance.

Mark Hassell

Chair

With over two decades of experience in the adult industry, Mark is a seasoned professional who has worked with renowned companies such as adultwork.com, Paul Raymond Publications, NSFW.app, Sunday Sport Newspaper, S66, Pleasure Network, among others. With 29 years of expertise in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development across various industries, platforms, and media, Mark currently serves as the UK Regional Manager for Cam4. His responsibilities include broadcaster recruitment, online and offline marketing, ad buying, and event management. Mark's strategic prowess and unwavering commitment to excellence have solidified his reputation as a leader in the industry, shaping its trajectory with innovation and results-driven approaches.

Paul Rain

Operations Administration/Secretary

Paul Rain is a niche full time fetish producer who previously worked within the Housing, Marketing and Event Management sectors. Extremely organised he has been a member of SNAP since joining the industry and has always been supportive of our aims.

Lacey Starr

Sexual Health & Wellbeing Lead

Lacey started working in the Adult Industry in 2013, at the age of 53. She achieved success with her own LaceyStarr Productions brand and Red Sign Studio. Prior to being in the industry Lacey worked as a teacher and Psychotherapist, so brings plenty of knowledge and experience to her role as Sexual Health & Wellbeing lead.

Adreena Winters

Content Manager

Adreena started in the adult industry in 2010 and has become one of the top niche content creators in the UK. Receiving multiple award nominations, including 2024 XBIZ Award for Clip Artist of the Year. Adreena has engaged in community work through expert panels, podcasts and writing for Xbiz magazine. She also writes for her own blog and produces her own podcast. Adreena has amassed a wealth of knowledge and skills from over a decade of experience in the industry that she brings to her role as content manager.

Estella Bathory

Events Lead

Estella Bathory is a genre-defying Xbiz award winning and AVN nominated Pornstar who has also worked as a brand ambassador, podcast & red carpet host, producer and director. Throughout her career in mainstream porn Estella has historically been the first BBW performer in many spaces, including to be nominated for a mainstream category at Xbiz. Estella now focuses on producing ethical, inclusive BDSM porn. As Events Lead, Estella aims to connect SNAP with and empower independent, queer & niche performers - and prioritize events which are educational and accessible to everyone.

Paul Matthews

Sales & Marketing

Paul has been in the adult industry now for almost 20 years, and brings to SNAP a wealth of experience across multiple areas of expertise. He was previously on the boards of both AITA and the APN, and has even contributed to the shaping of legislation in the House of Lords with the DPA, when the Online Safety Bill was still in its infancy. Paul has a host of professional qualifications, including an MBA, and currently works for Vivastreet as their Head of Advertising, and is also an independent consultant and business owner.

Eyemblacksheep

Content Support

Eyemblacksheep has been active as a fetish performer since 2016, setting up his own production in 2019. Also known through his kink blogs. Always keeping up with latest news and developments in the industry

Technical Lead

Dick from Salacious Creation takes on the Tech Lead Role, with over three decades of IT industry experience. His expertise spans hardware, software, databases, and workflow design. He's also a proficient Davinci Resolve editor, specializing in adult entertainment for seven years. Driven by a 'Need vs Requirement' mindset, Dick ensures efficient project delivery. He's passionate about repurposing old hardware to minimize e-waste and optimizes projects for maximum value and performance. As a leader, Dick champions technical excellence and innovation at every turn.
