📍 What This Means for UK Performers

At this time, this situation is limited to the U.S. and does not affect UK-based performers or productions. However, we believe in keeping SNAP members informed and prepared, especially when it comes to sexual health and community safety.

💊 A Reminder About PrEP

In light of this news, it’s a good opportunity to revisit HIV prevention options, especially PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis):

From our SNAP Sexual Health & Wellbeing Advisor:

“If you have PrEP on standby at home, you can start taking it again by taking a double dose to begin, then one pill a day after that. If you’re not currently on PrEP, you can book an appointment at Dean Street, where it’s free to access and they currently have plenty in stock.”

📍 Dean Street Express (London) is a quick, performer-friendly clinic – book online here:

Other UK-based sexual health clinics also offer PrEP, often for free via the NHS. If you need help finding a clinic or navigating access, reach out to us at SNAP and we’ll help you confidentially.

🧠 A Note on Safety

Situations like this remind us why regular testing and harm reduction tools like PrEP are vital in our industry. We stand in solidarity with our U.S. colleagues and hope for a swift resolution and full recovery for everyone involved.

Let’s continue to look after one another, stay informed, and prioritise our health.

With care,

The SNAP Team
